I designed Cake Premium, their flagship app for analyzing and rebalancing retirement accounts.
It was the last product shipped before being acquired by E-Trade.
After connecting to their brokerage accounts, the assessment screen shows the customer an information dashboard of their current portfolio status. The information hierarchy is flexible - sections are presented in a different order depending on which aspect needs the most emphasis.
The next step highlights the recommended allocation strategy, shows a side-by-side comparison with their current portfolio, and has an allocation picker tool to choose an investment strategy.
Next is a series of screens that steps through the different classes of mutual funds and offers a list of higher-performing funds with lower costs. Most people unknowingly pay thousands in hidden fees in their retirement accounts.
Finally, the end deliverable is a document that shows a summary of the changes.
